Re: Raid Mystic Blues
My husband is the MT of our guild. He hits his 5 sec incoming macro, and I immediately hit my grp ward (I run in MG over our defiler because I have all my masters), my single target ward, and bolster.(Sometimes I'll even throw my umbral attendant up if I know that the mob can come off with an initial aoe.) When I do this, I don't stand with the rest of the raid, I stand on the MT, because they will always rush for me, and if there are adds, it's easier for him to grab them. 95% of the time, he gets it off of me, but it's still always a good idea to stand on him. Once I know he has solid aggro, I quickly move back with the rest of the raid.
To prevent your spirit companion from dying when you take ward aggro, set it to only attack mobs who attack him. Default, he will attack anything that attacks you. This causes him to get the aggro and poof, no more puppy. Another thing that also help is the end ability on the Str line, which makes him immune to aoe (unless it's directed at him).
With debuffing, I always do mine in a certain order. Frist of all, I make sure the MT is being kept up while I do this. Remember to always keep him healed and not deter if the other healers are struggling to keep him up. Once I know I am good to debuff, I cast all my debuffs which lower the dps and str of the mob, so they won't hit the MT as hard. Second, I come off with Wail of the Ancients to help the casters nuke it harder and last, I cast all the rest of my debuffs. (in no particular order).
