The Restored Hand of Serenity
The Restored Hand of Serenity rightfully belongs to the player AdamPerson, ingame known as Twitty, as proved in the upcoming sentences/paragraphs. First, I'd like to state that I am in full support of such a terrific idea and would love nothing more than to adorn my mythical with a Phantom Shod. Then I would use it to ultimately kill everyone on the server, bar our common ally: Kaimera. Lets begin.
As one of the oldest members of this forum, and Nagafen community, many state that I am an ignorant troll devoid of any thought besides hatred and discontent to my fellow citizens. I do not appreciate this tone, nor do I agree with it. With Pudaan as my post-mentor from the Official forums, we tore it up troll style. But to assume that this was all normal is absurd. I devoted 1 straight month when the pvp servers first came out to nothing but PvP, with helpful insight to those in the guild I started and all players in general. I gave over 100 plat away to random people who just started the game. Usually around 10p each so that they could get a horse or twink themselves or save accordingly.
To bad things turned out the way I did and was betrayed by my friend who deleted my toons. So I took a nasty step backwards and lost any faith in this server. Soon I met Sir Ratface, Defender of Norrath and we became infamous trolls for Freeports' 10-19 channel. This was around the time NEDM was extremely popular and we would link random ytmnd links or basically demean anyone who dared to argue back!
More recently however, I have changed from my wicked ways! I have not gone back to my Salvation Army style giving out plat that I had done before, but nonetheless I have helped people learn their class, AA builds successful for pvp, and most importantly how to take everything they read with a grain of salt. If someone trolls you, just laugh with them! If someone demeans your gear, work harder and come back more powerful than before. If they still harass, kindly use the ignore feature.
The only thing in this game that matters to me is engaging and simulating pvp fights that are not severely skewed either way. I do gank, yes I do, but there is no sense of fufillment when I kill something ( even orange cons who have horrible gear ) in less than 20 seconds. The sharing of mythicals is a brilliant idea of Jeramir's especially since he claims want for server equality and a need for a sense of accomplishment. If we run the same noobs from Illuminati or Ministry of Hate into the ground over and over, especially when they know they have no chance of winning, we lose players! We lose the reason we came to the server for. Less pvprs causes those who do dominate to stagnate ultimately anyways; Do you want that?
While you may say: Get 24 players who are dedicated to learning an encounter and taking the time to get the goods themselves; It is obvious that not everyone can play on the same bar as Kraken and Onyx. Yes, they should earn their gear and Jeramir is allowing a chance for them to do it in another way. The end goal is more simulating pvp. Look at it from the other end, there is no reason for anyone to engage a group from Kraken straight up 6vs6 unless it's Onyx. They know they are severely undergeared, and will probably just embarrass themselves trying. At least with an incentive like a Mythical weapon they at least give it a shot.
Ultimately, I could join a raid guild who would look past my Eq2flames posts and earn my mythical in about a weeks worth of raiding. However, I allow you to judge my worthiness of this giveaway.
