but didn't someone already point out that DH didn't really do anything raid worthy when they had access to all the classes? Why would that magically change when you went back to a city?

You lost me in par. 4 bro. Raiding takes a different kind of skill and coordination. I think that's the point here -- why Onyx & Kraken are ahead.

And other then a short fluke of luck, is there any guild, that a full raid of Kraken or Onyx can't completley destroy? Short of each other that is.

Purity can have their super little 1 man groups. Raid PvP is laggy as shit, I personally hate it. But comparing Exile play style to the factioned people is like comparing apples and potatoes.

Personally, I think some of the mythical epics can be completed by the faction guilds.

We didn't exile to get access to all classes and raid. We were there for the PvP, and raided because we HAD to, to get the gear to compete with the overpowered pvp gear that the city factions were getting.
If our guild was built on raiding, then I might say, good point, but we weren't... a completely different animal all together.

Listen, don't put words into my mouth. I'm not complaining about shit in a city faction. We are dong fine with what we have... everyone wants to be the best at everything they do, just depends on the amount of time you're willing to invest.

All of these responses from me were in regards to Nightwalker telling Kruhl a mountain of shit. I don't know Kruhl, think he's a cheap player when I PvP against him... but I love to play devil's advocate when work is boring.

Nothing will change the fact that having 24 classes provides "some" advantage. Quantifying that advantage is never going to be possible. I think City faction guilds can get at least "SOME" of the Mythicals, but the people that will get them will be a HUGE minority vs the rest of the population of the server. People that "just pvp" are getting the big dick shoved up their asses, and nothing you, onyx or kraken will ever say is going to change that.

I think PvP gear should be "AT LEAST" as good as raiding gear, if not barely weaker... not the descrepancies I see in the armor..it's completele horse shit. Not to mention with the current mechanics of the game and writs, its going to be bullshit long time before anyone gets any pieces unless they were a ganking toon that saved all their tokens.

Probably not atm - The 2 best raid PvP guilds were Darkhand and DoM though and tbh I don't think Onyx and especially not Kraken compare to that - the server on the whole is weaker now than it's ever been as far as competition goes mainly due to a lack of interest in raid PvP as a whole due to the stupid lag associated with it and great players quitting - I might be wrong but I think DH were the only PvP guild to stand upto DoM and smash em

So why don't you uber pvp'ers come back to exile, where the pvp is true pvp and hang out here? With the writ system making so many people pissed, come to exile and pvp.

As was noted earlier, you guys did just as well in the city raiding as you did in exile... which, was about 10 steps behind the other two raid guilds on Nagafen.

Nothing will change the fact that having access to a few classes may make an encounter easier. Or the fact that factioned players had a full set of EOF pvp gear before any exiled guild had their set. So, I guess there's advantages and disadvantages to being either exiled or city-aligned.

so true .. this is a PVP server afterall.. oh but Sony seem to forget that hence it took em so fucking long to put PvP armour in .. a shambles

in the end of it all we did beat them, but the early going was rough... they were good at raid pvp... real good.

Now, when they say, any group, I would tell them they are full of shit because I personally stood over many many den of madness corpses that weren't in raid.

I donno about the DH bit. Nothing against 'em, just i never really went at them in raid -v- raid. Whenever it happened, it was more us versus them, havoc, and a contested. Nothing against them. And DoM falls in that weird area between my two active EQ2 eras.

But yes, raid PvP is horrid imo. I remember having literally 2 assassins and two brigs on me when fighting havoc at times, and not dying simply by running laps around the fight.

you still can't grasp the written language can you.

We aren't a "raid guild" we're a guild that raids.

If our leadership said, we're exiling. I'd be the first out of the city. that discussion hasn't even been remotely talked about. some have asked jokingly.. hey, would you exile? I'm like hell yah.

problem is... there might not be enough momentum left in this game to sustain a guild that isn't built completely for raiding in exile. any guild that comes there needs to have at least an X6 of people that WANT to be there, or they'll lose their better players to the already established raiding guilds.

The lure of epic gear is strong... many say they go exile for the pvp, but end up in raiding guilds and you see them less and less over time...
