I think the UI is just temporary for now, a filler for beta. As far as looks, that is the way warhammer has always looked in the tabletop game, and if anything WoW took that look when they started making warcraft games. Warhammer has been around a lot longer than warcraft.

However DAoC was probably the best widescale PVP MMO I've ever played, so if they incorporate RvR like it was in that game, I'll give it another try.

Not anymore they turned on shadows and high rez textures and it looks more Vanguardish to me and it's started FPS lagging me since =(

The only place that looks like WoW to me is the Orc starting area

Realm vs. Realm.

It was a pvp game, but it wasn't FFA. There were 3 "factions" known as realms. The pvp was based on all the factions vs the other trying to capture Keeps and Relics (these relics gave melee and caster benefits for each additional one you held for everyone in your realm.)

Yea, regardless of who had what first, the problem is it reminded me of WoW immediately.

I couldn't even beta test past 10 levels because I was just sick of the similarity. The same reason I never got any where in beta of LOTRO and never even purchased that game.

I might revisit WAR someday though. I get all the beta letters in my email and keep up w/ the changes

I'm not anonymous, infact i sent an email to LFG asking to have it changed. When I created the accoutn i wasn't playing EQ2, and this was my CS/COD4/TF2 handle. But I will just say that since I've been back we've been pvp'ing non stop, think I've run into everyone on these boards except you...and frankly, enternal is very far down the list as far as memorable fights. So just for your edification, you've never pvp'd against DoM, no where near as good a fight as Exodus, the one Purity Group, even some Vigilante and dare i say Betrayed. We've lost a couple fights for sure, but i can say without equivocation none were against enternal unless you were blended in with one of those x3 not raided groups.

He has a good point there. One of the last groups I would be scared of is one that has an Eternal tag. It's ok Dank, we know you roll in "the best groups fp has to offer" and DOM will roll with whoever is on and do very well.

DOM is the ONLY pure pvp guild on the server. They are some of the highest skilled players as well. They don't run from fights, they are not scared to lose fame, and they will attack your full group of 80s when half of their group cons green to you.
