Re: Next Generation PvP
Gotta disagree with you Dakis, I think it will take longer to hit Level 40/RR 40 in War, than it will to hit 80 in EQ2. As far as raids, I think WAR could quite possibly have the best raids to date. Battle in in a open PvP battlefield first with potentially 500v500 armies, catapults, ballistas, boiling oil, etc included, and gain control of the outer city, only then to be ported into the city instance with any remaining PC defenders, contiue to fight them (they can't revive in the city), and then proceed to kill the city mobs and ultimately the end boss (king/queen/etc). How can you not love the idea of having to contest every instance raid zone, and if you complete that raid zone, the other side cannot use their city until they take it back? Not to mention there are plenty of open world contested and at least a couple open pvp dungeons.
Does it have raid zones where you gather up 24 people, head to raid zone, and then monotonously spend a couple hours going through the same scripted enounter over and over again week after week? No, it doesn't appear so. If that's what you're looking for ala EQ2 and WoW, then I agree, WAR probably isn't for you.
If you're looking for raids that will always require pvp before you enter them, and then instanced raids with opposing players in them in an all or nothing battle...and then NPC raid mobs that drop loot, then I would suggest WAR is more up your alley.

Re: Next Generation PvP
That sounds amazingly like Alterec Valley.
Which was absolutely fucking horrible. A metric fuck ton of people, disorganized as hell, all running around just randomly killing. After 4 days of an instance finally one side would be lucky enough to push into the other's main place. Then another 2 days of them trying to brute force the "bosses" of the zone.
Ya it was dreadfully horrible. Just fine when you managed a full raid to go in with a specific goal and vent. Then it took 10 minutes. Otherwise you have a shit ton of chiefs, no indians, and 30 afk guys.
In fact, if it's as you say, and it IS a lot like AV. I can say with 500% confidence that's the most horrible thing I could possibly imagine them focusing a game around and I doubt I'll ever seriously play it. No one is fucking sadistic enough to want to do AV in WoW daily. You just AFK'd in the fucking cave, or if you were a druid, in fucking walrus form at the bottom of the litle lake. You ran Auto-It as not to AFK out, and a week later you got your crit ring.

Re: This puzzles me
You realize that she looks more american than the other two? More materialistic, fake and less pure than the other two right? She doesn't look german, she looks like a fake american girl in her early 20s/really late teens.

I'm not in the AoC beta so I don't know anything about it. I am sure I will try it when goes to retail and then I will transition to WAR when it comes out. EQ2 is dead to me.
PS - random last thought... neither of the games will touch WoW in subscriptions. Before WoW, if an MMO had a couple of hundred thousand subs it was considered a smashing success (except those Korean games). I bet AoC and WAR will open up with 500k to 800k (maybe 1M at best) and then slowly atrophy from there. Most MMO'ers aren't PvPers so alot of people aren't even going to try them.

My sentiments exactly, as I said earlier I'm looking forward to some competition for my gaming time. I'll play AOC it looks amazing so far so I am sure that it will have enough to keep me entertained and apart for some tools with the majority of the Nagafen community going over there should be plenty of laughs and drama.
When WAR comes out I'll give that a shot as well if it does even ship when they say it does, the only worry I have is that both games will be amazing and then I'll have to choose, if AOC is awesome then I can see WAR suffering as people will be reluctant to leave a great game after only six months.
Its a win win situation!!
Sifo whats the perfect game of Pacman?

Re: Next Generation PvP
Not to sure about those hotbars though, how does it feel when you play is it intuitive or does it take some work?

The combat system is by far the best out of any game I've played, so I would say yes. Every ability you use starts a combo, where sometimes you can get a fatality move and just fucking destroy someone.
