This is Meat from Insurrection, now I haven’t been in an exile raid guild before, but I have played on the blue servers. I think its funny how people say, if you would have exiled you could have been in VP. That’s not true at all, because were divested from certain classes don’t mean we can’t do something, we just have little room for misapprehension. Although some people are blind to see it, the problem is city raid guilds can’t retain members. They have a lot of potential, but the gear leaves their guild and they get set behind. In order to progress you need to retain members, and keep the gear and Master I in the guild. But in the long run all that gear and Master I’s goes to the Exiled guilds, not setting them back in progression. When a city faction guild get’s a new member chances are they will be set back in gear = progression. The reason Insurrection has done so well is they have been able to retain members, except for the loss of Peak a great addition to any guild…But he was soon replaced, but were missing 1-2k dps from one person. In the past I’ve heard several times it will be close to impossible to kill Overking as a faction guild, yet this isn’t true because he’s on farm status by Insurrection. T1 is a joke now, as we clear all the zones in one night. The same holds true for Venril, all though we’ve only had 4 or 5 nights to pull him. He’s easy but it requires everyone on the raid to watch for mana sacrifice, getting all 24 people to do that is the tricky part. We had him to 8% on one pull, so he’s not far along from dying. But in all the encounters I’ve come across so far, there isn’t one that requires any Qeynos classes. Sure having them all would make things a little easier, but it’s not a necessity. What is a necessity? Having a strong MT group and an Off Tank group, and steady and strong DPS. I’m at 75.8% avoidance and I heard Onyx & Krakens MT is at 76.5% and Mitigation really don’t matter, since it is on such a huge diminishing return after 60%. So why is it that Onyx and Kraken have cleared VP? It’s not because they are exiled, if that was true then other city faction guilds would have cleared New Tunaria or Woushi. It’s because they are further along in progression because they invested more time to get their and learn encounters. See instead of pulling a mob for 10 hours straight, we pull it 2-4 hours. We are a casual guild while they are a hard core guild. If Insurrection is able to maintain it’s members like we are, we’ll soon be killing mobs in VP, just at a slower pace. In PvP if somebody invested more time in their character than you they will win, it’s plain and simple, better gear, better spells, and more AA give’s you the edge, but it’s not a guaranteed win if they aren’t using everything to their advantage. Now back on topic, I’m not a player who cares about fame, I’m a guardian who solo PvPs and feel I’m decent at it, I also group PvP. But there is a such thing as being stupid, why would you fight a group that is stacked while your with one healer being a shaman? If you have a decent group make up, then it’s a different story. But take what I said above into context. Why would a group with no Mythical’s fight a full group with Mythical’s? That’s just being stupid, care to argue? Just like fighting the Purity A team, they lock down your MT with charm and mez & or charm a healer. Sure Charm is curable but not with 20 other effects on you. Now it’s a group fight of 6+ vs 4, not much you can do, so why bother to fight? It’s not fun getting your shit pushed in is it?

No guild pulls shit for 10 hours straight. After a few hours even the most determined raid is going to started grunting and groaning at the leaders to gtfo out of there. Especially when things are going horribly.
well, i was going to skip it just because it's such a headache to read poorly spaced text, but i went back and read Meat's wall of text.
absolutely everything he said about faction/exile raiding is true (and in line with what the exiles have been saying all along). and it's refreshing to see someone in a faction who's willing to be honest about things, instead of trying to cover up their guilds inadequacies with excuses and whining. i eagerly await the day when a bunch of random faction guilds all decide to exile and team up because they're sick of not having mythicals. and i will take immense amounts of sick pleasure in watching them continue to still not progress through VP content when they're exiled. and then all of their excuses, their justifications, the whole house of cards will come crashing down on their heads and they'll be forced to finally admit that the root cause of their failures is them. and there'll be a bunch of people who have their heads screwed on straight waiting in the wings to say "we told you so." we'll try not to laugh too hard, but i can't promise we'll be as "mature and reasonable" about it as all you anti-exile complainers have been... ;)
after all, if this content is so easy with access to all of the classes, why haven't the majority of raid guilds on PVE cleared VP in the last few months? could is be because, *gasp*, the top 2 or 3 guilds on their server have recruited most of the people who really want to be in a hardcore raiding guild? nah, couldn't be... that's just ludicrous!
So i peeps the DVR, and i see's there's some "How It's Made" on there.
So i'm eating my pizza, and watching how they make fire hydrants, and I realized. How It's Made may be the awesomest show on TV. And imo, we owe it to 80's children television and how crayons are made.

Lets just hope that whatever they do to Druushk, they don't make him Druushk 1.0.
Then, all of the factioned guilds will get through VP in due time. That is, if they can get past all the trash on the way through.

well regardless of whether or not they make druushk dramatically easier (which i dont think they'll do... simply tweaking some of the mechanics can still provide a challenging and fun fight), there's still nexona. which is beatable of course, but she's no joke.
