I hate to burst your bubble...but really long hair is like a 1970's thing. Nearly nobody had their hair long in the past because of a little thing called lice.

When woman were put on this earth they had it nice and short. The rigors of the past weren't quite the ideal environment to grow long and flowing hair.

I don't think it's possible for hair to grow long without getting damaged eventually. In my opinion hair always looks better and gives a face a much fresher look if it's has a nice cut from either slightly past the shoulders or shorter and cut in layers.
