WTB Raid Utility!
Am I the only one who thinks that necros need a bit of work when it comes to utility? We bring absolutely nothing to a well equipped raid besides dps. Yay we can give hearts, rez, heal, and do dps, but if the people designed to do those don't suck, the only thing we can really do is dps, and its not to the standout point anymore to where having a necro outweighs the loss of having another support role class. I guess what I'm asking is for us to get some kind of beneficial buff that we can bring to a group/raid. Even conjurors get a buff they can put on scouts to fill up their concentration slots. /soapbox off

WTF are you actually trying to say?
My point is that for a necro in a guild that doesn't suck, our heal, rez, and hearts are pretty much useless and unneeded.

Re: WTB Raid Utility!
How did they get to the point of not needing a necro? or has it been like this for all of EoF?

If you need a necro, you suck. With the abundance of power proc gear and potions, hearts are pretty meaningless. If your healers don't suck, there is no point in time when the necro's slow ass 1.3k-ish heal will ever make a difference. Most guilds roll with at least 2 dirges, which is normally more than enough to handle an rezzing needs. The only type of unique utility the gave necros was the new debuff pet, but again, only needed if your guild truely sucks.

Possibly, but doesn't negate the point.

Since you can't piece 2 and 2 together, I'll do the simple math for ya. It has been like this all of EoF, but with the original starting point of necro dps, it was easily overlooked. For guilds that don't have highly skilled and well geared players, a necro can really stand out on the dps parse if they want, but once you throw equally skilled and geared other forms of dps in their, the gap is shortened and eventually surpassed. I can and have parsed equally or not better with just about every shown parse in these necro forums and feel safe to say that the cap to the necro dps is a bit too low for a class that practically brings nothing to the raid other than a power shard for those who don't know how to manage their power, or are too lazy/suck too bad to get decent gear.
