yes it is a good item for a necro, no it doesnt belong on this list.

This item should go to MT chanter, then mages in the mage group. Great for bards but the proc rate is better spent on classes that use more of the proc type spell than the classes the proc benefits.

Negative Energy Channeler is not the no1 ring by a long shot, Im sorry.

Would also move to completely strike Frigid Piercer from the list, there is pretty much no reason whatsoever anyone should have that item equipped now since if you are in FP drop territory you should have your epic. It is transmute fodder which IMO doesnt warrant mention. Primary slot itemization is fairly simple: If you dont have Vazelle the Mad, you should have Insanity's Rapture. If you dont have Insanity because you are a lazy son of a bitch, then you should have Wand of Crystallized Plasma assuming you dont have Orb of the Dark Mind equipped, which is a valid assumption because if you have OfDM then you likely arent the lazy SOB without at least the fabled version of the epic.

3. WoCP and be done with it, the other mentions are needless.

Would also ? 2% base dmg increase vs. 10% reuse reduction (tailored cloak vs. Unrest)...I dont have the numbers, but I question why 2% base increase is definitively better than that massive reuse reduction.

Some of the items I do need to fine tune but most of these choices are made because I don't have the items to test.

My spell rotation is such that I don't have any need for spell reuse reduction. The two best obvious choices at this time are the burdened signet and the negative channel ring. I don't have the voidcaller ring yet to determine its dps increase or decrease so its left as it is for the moment. Until you start getting in the neighborhoods of 50% haste there is no need for reuse reduction other than the few items I have up there, the council drape for one.

The weapons are listed in a way that I believe that the FP is going to give you more of a dps increase than the rapture, that's why its listed that way, not in ease of obtaining, or I wouldn't put up the avatar gear. Some guilds are not able to kill nexona but are able to kill ekron, easy upgrade.

2% base damage is going to give you overall better dps than 10% reuse because it allows for higher values of +spell and effects higher crit values.

I would humbly disagree with your assumption FP>Insanity.

Insanity>>FP and although I agree one could likely get FP more easily than killing the current Nexona to complete Vazelle, I would not equip it over Insanity under almost any circumstance I can think of.

If you have parse data to prove otherwise, Im all for reviewing it.

As for spell reuse reduction, I personally do have a need for more reuse reduction on the order of 15-20%, I get a break in my rotation about every 2 or 3 cycles to prevent a smooth unbroken chain of casting. I do not cast bats and that is probably for you with splurt more of a priority. But I agree also spell casting haste is very valuable. Even to the point of T7 stuff like Crimson Robe warranting possible inclusion on the list.

Then your spell casting order is off. Even before the mythical cast haste >> reuse

And the proc spread damage is more on the frigid piercer, so unless you see otherwise FP > insanity

I'd like to post a possible update as well. As long as we have a piece of gear at the top of the list for a slot in order to get the 3 set bonus (gloves of grave reckoning) I'd like to offer the following alternative that I think is a better choice.

Instead of using lava channeling sleeves, put cuffs of grave reckoning up top (noting that this is in order to achieve the 3 set bonus) and then you can put sorcerous gloves at the top for gloves. They are way better than gloves of grave reckoning (unless you have sucky BoE) and the benevolent alacrity on lava channeling is kind of meh.

Just a though

Its a way to eek out more spell crit

Both cuffs have the same amount of crit on them...lava ones have an extra bonus. Everyone will have their own opinion on what piece will go in what slot...I know my own list differs alot from what most post, but I'm not sharing it :P

Ya lava and set cuffs have the same amount of crit, that's why i was saying use set cuffs because the extra bonus on lava isn't really great, so you can use the set cuffs as your 3rd piece and then use better gloves, like sorcerers gloves or personally, I use gloves of sagacity still ;)
