The debuff pet
Is this pet viable?
Also do any high-end raid guilds use it.
My guild really wants me to spec it but it takes a ton off of your parsing. If I am helping the raid I am fine with that I just wanted to know what you all think about it. I searched the forums but it didn't really say if other people used it currenty.

Re: The debuff pet
If your guild is gimp enough to need the debuff pet, you need to find a new guild.

There's a reason we don't speak of it lol. Necromancers aren't a debuff class, tell your guild's shamans, rogues, and bards...and your guardian too, to do their job imo.

Re: The debuff pet
short of above comments, it is still a massive debuff and if you guild are stuggling with incomming damage for whatever reason, oozey will help until you lot sort out what you are doing

Re: The debuff pet
Um dont expect it to survive aoe, do dps or much else apart from a debuff, TBH never seen the need to use much since it was released, i did spec to it once and was so ashamed of my dps i kicked it to the curb!
But like they said above if your guild is "unexperienced low end guild not geared to raiding" then maybe its worth a shot. /shrug but i would doubt it.
For the dps u will loose i dont imagine the debuffs it has are worth it, but would be interested to see any material or proof to prove otherwise, im always open to "out there ideas"
P.s im not flaming the OP more his/her guild for the suggestion :-D but like they say horses for courses.....

Re: The debuff pet
Bah...if your guild isn't a hardcore uber raiding guild and you're having difficulty on certain raid mobs, the ooze can definitely help. It's a huge debuff and can be kept up just fine with pact. You'll lose most of the DPS your pet would have given you, but your guild might be able to kill the mob.
FWIW, at 140 aa you *can* have ooze, pact and LB, so really there's not much reason not to play around with it for the tough mobs. Just don't use it for the entire zone (only the difficult mobs), and make sure you throw up skeletal regiment or you'll piss off melee peeps who can't see through the darkness heh.

There are very few mobs in this game that actually hit hard enough that this pet would make the difference even for a sucky guild. If you can't beat a mob in this game, it generally comes down to you haven't figured out the encounter or you just plain suck, you pick. Tell people to stop slacking and do their jobs so you can do yours (its dps for the dipshits who haven't caught on yet).

I totally agree. If everyone quit slacking and did what they're supposed to, there would be no need. Then again, the guild wouldn't suck for long either. The ooze helps when you're in a guild that can't boot people for sucking. For my sucky guild, the ooze helped us beat mayong for sure.
Obviously, everyone would rather have all of their raidmembers doing their job and this wouldn't be needed. But in the end, if sacrificing 1k off a necro's parse can make up the difference in three shitty healers and let you beat a mob, that's worth it.

Re: The debuff pet
ooze pets a piece of shit, SOE didnt even change its grafic. I just came back to the game, hit 80 and started raiding like a week ago so i havnt been in vp yet but everything prior to vp (gimp guild territory) has no need whatsoever for the ooze pet. I spec'd for it tho incase since i was going for quicker dumbfire recast anyways but im sure i'll never use it.
