New to the game

I am very new to the game (a week or so), and I really enjoy playing the necro and the wiz class. I would, however, like to focus on maxing ONE class. Would any of you high-levels shed some light on the pros, cons, etc. of at least your class? If you could shed light on BOTH, even better, but I'll take what I can get

wizard = overpowered (glass cannon)
necro = sexier than every other class, at end game dps hindered by shitty healers

two different types of game play i have both a wizard and necro. some things you can expect for both classes is expesive masters and gear high end. the wizard is straight forward dps you only have to manage your own agro(i die lots anyhow), necro on the other hand you have to keep your self and your pet alive. for solo necro gets a tank pet/life taps and can solo well from lvl 1 to lvl 80, wizard i found a bit challenging to solo untill lvl 50 when roots get a fair amount of duration, also AE root and ice nova help a ton.

With the Tainted heals AA, you can also off tank just fine in heroic instances with the tank pet. Necro is quite versatile, and one of the best solo chars out there.

IMO necro's rule, I had a lvl 61 necro back when DoF just came out and could not solo a damn thing... so I killed him and made a bruiser... once RoK came out I figured I would make another necro just for the fun of it... was doing fine then someone told me about tainted heals... and omg I haven't played my brusier since...

I do not think I am going to ever play any other class then necro...

I played a wiz up to lvl 12?? and hated the fact you have to rely on your roots more then anything when soloing... but I have also heard of wizzy's tanking raids before once you got the battle mage AA... so really its up to you.. play what you like...

For your first toon, go with the necro matey.

There is a lot of solo content out there are the moment and necros are vastly superior soloers (tainted heals - first aa ability you should get!)

At higher levels the group dps is ok, the raid dps better and the utility fun

Necro - Fan frikking uber

...We have a nice wack of DPS, you can do some healing (you and your fellow dead ppl) if your healers are being dumb and trying to DPS, you can rez, you can just be ubertastic, nuff said really.

You will enjoy Necro so much more than Wizzie..and just FYI..don't betray..or we'll kick you in the shins

Thanks for all the help guys. I tried out a bunch of different classes, and then returned to the necro. I gotta agree, necro is hands down the best class. And Tok, no WAY I'd betray
