I have combed through the MB and have not seen any mention of the Spell "Word of Force". I only asked because I was going through my spell book the other day and saw it. I am not sure where the spell came from. I checked it out I noticed that with all my spell dmg mods it supposed to hit for 941-1241 Magic dmg and on termination it has a 10% chance to cast Flawless Pronunciation 697-939 magic dmg . It also shares the same casting timer as Soulrot. I know we are a disease based dmg class. What I want to know is does anyone use this spell ? Is it worth using in my casting rotation on a raid? Is it for special mobs that can only be damaged by magic based spells?

Word of Force came from Splitpaw. Once you did 3 quests in there and "Earned their trust", the splitpaw vendor would sell you this spell for like 70s or something.

• Its slightly better than Adept I of the class-specific spell, but not much better, except for the 10% chance of double damage.
• For Necros, it won't proc Lich.
• No AA bonuses will affect it.

The only use I see it is when a mob like Venril has a damage shield that procs something like a fear - where every tick of a dot would have a chance of proccing it - in which case its probably better to use Word of Force.

Not sure what other necros do, but I don't see much use of it now even though it scales up to 80.
