I'm a guild leader for an exile guild on a pvp server.

My necro's tell me I hold them to an unfairly high standard for parses.

In order to attain a certain guild rank, we require our DPS classes to hit at least 3k+ on average. Not zonewides necessarily, but average parses.

Both of our necro's were parsing 2200-2500. Is it unfair of me to withhold their promotion until they parse higher on average? I play a conjy and parse 3500+ every fight, and that's just an alt that I rarely rarely raid on. I understand summoner basics, but I understand there are differences.

Maybe we're wrong and we're just being harsh, but I'm not sure that's the problem. Any input?

Do your necros get a group similar to yours with a Troubador? If not, that's why they're doing such bad DPS.

Usually, they have a Fury and a Troub. Somtimes they also get illy.

if they got ad3/master and selection of the better non raid gear out there and parsing under 3k with troublet then yeh they poocheeks

but aswell are they getting jcapped lifeburns well healed ..? or do your healers suck and let them die... (not that you need lifeburn to go over 3k..)

Yeah...very group dependent. If they have little to no raid gear, minimal heroic T8 gear and lack: DTKM, Aria, Tandem, Monk raidwide spell haste etc. then 2500/sub3K isnt that unreasonable on mobs they arent lifeburning/undead hord'ing.

If in the same fight with the same buffs, you as a conjy are parsing 1500+ more regularly then I think you already know the answer.

Typical caster setup atm is:

Paladin
Wizard
Warlock
Fury
Troubador
Necro/Conjy

One of our Necro's is melee pet spec'd, so when we have more casters, he gets stuck into a melee DPS group which isn't as good, but still helpful.

We always have a monk. Our druids have macros for the necro's for when they lifeburn. We keep corpses up purposely for undead tides.
