Now i know a lot of you guys keep saying that necro's need to keep to themselves their casting order, and that you should use the training wall to practice parses, but i just want a little advise here.

My casting order on raid mobs/names that usually last a decent ammount of time that i can fight the whole thing w/o some special strat, is as follows.

start out sending pet and use gluttony, then get up in combat pets and start applying dot's.
then whenever up i keep spamming death coil, the life tap, and soul rot, i also keep re applyling bats when timer is close to out, and any in combat pets that pop back up on the hotbar.
depending if i want to max dps on that fight and if they are up i will try to get undead horde up from the start or after aoe's go off, and i also lifeburn near the end of the fight to max dps trying to get the mob as close to death as i can before it runs out.


now as the necro is complicated, but at the same time doesnt have to be, i must be missing something, probably gear wise, because i dont raid extremely a lot, my gear is just about as good you can get, cept the damn robe of jarsath, and both fabled secondarys from coa/voes, ive just been unlucky and they keep eluding me. anyway have a look at my gear,

Some of the gear suggestions apply to you, and get the legendary ring from CoA to replace that Exile one and a master crafted 2% base dmg cloak. the dumbfires suck, cast them when done with main spells and you have a break. Spec for all hp and Lifeburn often.

Well, as sciomar said, your gear is lacking. Get a:

Burdened Signet - CoA - Lord Vizaroth
Tormented Bracelet of Doom - KJ - Doom
72 MC robe - broker ftw (RE2 cloak works here too...dam thing is a myth though :P)
Fish Embroidered Gloves - Fens quest

Harder to get, but still worth it:

Symbol of the Eaten - JW - Megolodon
Bloodthirsty Choker - SoF - Terror

Also, imo, ditch Glory and Symbol and grab two pristine fire emerald orbs until you can get gassy scepter/Praetor's Guard.

Your casting order isnt bad, but lose the temp pets. With a 2 second cast, using them at the beginning of a fight, youre losing 5 + seconds of DoTs that will do much more damage. Don't ignore your either damage spells either, from the way I interpreted your post, you dont use pandemic/bloodcloud too much. Even in single target encounters, DPS is DPS, use them when able.

Posting your AA spec/spell crit/mod, and a few parses wouldnt be a bad idea either, to help everyone give you more detailed help

Yes first:
1) my parse varries, if i have a good battle with a good grp and on a fight i go all out, for example in PR or sometimes SoH trash, then i can hit the parse at 4-5K if im lucky (guild currently isnt uber high end and so that may be top of the parse.) average tho is me being about 2nd-5 on parse usually getting 1.5-2.5 K dps, i know its weak but i need more gear, and as i said the highest parser isnt that high.

2) I forgot to mention, i do use bloodcloud a lot as well, but tend not to use the grp dot, however sometimes use it.

3) yes i will try to follow up on those gear suggestions you guys made, and keep on truckin to get the PG and jarsath robe, and coa ring for starters (and the MC gear mentioned)

4) i will try to get some parses, but atm, not raiding trying to up my dps :P will also try to get grp ones even.

5) next post will see if i can get screen shots to u guys, and if you see it, yes i know im specced for scout dps, but if anyone uses that spec lemme know the best set up, and lemme know best mage set up as i will try to fool around which is better for me.

For raids, a mage spec is probably better. But, just to comment on your current spec:

Str: take a point out of dagger...other than that it looks fine. Dagger is useless imo.
Agi: take two out of shadow step and put it into the double attack one. save the other point for later.
Wis: 4448 is a better way of setting that up.
Int: take the 3 points out for now...you might have spare when you get to 140 to put here...but even then, Id be more tempted to max out the defense wisdom AA. In a raid the intel dmg cap isnt hard to hit.


Necro AA:

Ok...so, assuming, yet again, that you want to use a scout spec:

Id put 5 in your scout pet, 5 in your tank, and 5 in improved pet casting time. This will help you get your pet back up if it dies and you cant reanimate it. Will also give you the 15 points you need to put AA in the undead horde. Max undead horde, yes, its expensive, but it adds a decent sum of damage to the spell. The next line, id go with 3 in each heal, as theyre not really commonly used spells. 5 in heart recast, and 5 in enhance gluttony. Put the remaining 4 points somewhere (I put them in the rez), and get blood pact. Take everything out of tainted heals line...in a raid, where DPS is your top priority, those spells are useless. Keep you LB line as it is (duh :P)

Other than that, your crit is a little low, but better gear will raise that up a lot.
