Default Shadows AA's

So I figured I would start a discussion on what everyone thought of the new AA's and start any talks on what might be better or not.

The day of the release I changed up my AA's like so:

Dropped the Wisdom line
Pulled a few points out of the tainted heals line

Shadows Tree:

General:
5 in Health
5 in Power

Mage Tree:
5 in Enhance Rot Line
5 in Master Strike
1 in Bewilderment (amazing nuke, gets resisted often, but amazing still)

Summoner Tree:

5 points in the extra spell crit for the pet
1 rank (5 points) in the base damage increase for the pet
1 point in the Pets new weaksauce debuff+dmg spell


Anyone else trying out other abilities in these lines?

How do you find your DPS versus other mages?

I haven't parsed it out yet but so far I have seen a significant jump in my DPS I should have number this weekend to get an exact difference.

more or less same choices for me.
kept wis line
dropped tide pets, rats, hearts, some tainted line
+horsespeed > useless power imo

rest TSO choices are same and tbh pretty much nobrainer - nothing else to get until 170. well +hp from Focus buff is aright i guess - another 250ish HP to burn.

got rid off wisdom line and part of pacts/grave calling

5 pet (would take power if i raided) 5 hp


5 rot, 5 master strike, 1 bewilderment.. really like that extra nuke.

5 minions critical strike, 1 pet mastery, 5 summoners soothing( takes the bite out of wicked wand) 1 minions mark( nice to have that T8 ability the pet has be missing)

i don't raid this toon.. this is a heroic build, but other then not dropping part of pacts and taking power instead of pet it would be about the same.

I went for 5 in Runic Protection instead of 5 in master strike so far.

I havent really been able/wanting to test/parse anything the last few months due to lack of a troub but im a bit worried about our AA's

Nice and all that we get to increase our PET dps by lets say a rough 20% by spending over 20 AA points in it but in the end all it does is increase overall dps about 8%.

I think the devs completely missed the point when they heared us necros whining about pet not scaling up equally with player gear etc.

Now we have to spend 20 points just to enhance our pet which makes up for about 30% of our total dps so actually those 20 points are spend on enhancing only a 3rd of our class.

It is because there are few better choices in the shadow trees that we have to stick with those but it once again a too hard struggle for us necs to keep up.

I am glad im already in a raid guild and that my beeing on time for every raids ensures my spot but i feel for those in need

Lets just say that maybe our AA's aren't stellar but we really benefit a significant amount from some of the support classes we are with when it comes to AAs. Peace of Mind from the Illy buff is just fucking insane since both us and our pets get the proc.

It parse out to over 600DPS in an instance for me and it probably could have been higher if we would have pulled more groups all at the same time.

So far I am pleased with the increase in our DPS, I still fall on the same place on the parse as I used to, which is the top 4, so as long as I got scaled up the same as others I am not going to whine to much.

I think that the 170+ end line aa in shadows for ourselves and out pets is just going to be amazing. I am hoping that the recast is 30s or less.
