And anyway base damage >>>>>> crit bonus(if equal and you have 100% crit rate) and here's why:

1000 damage nuke, and you have the choice of 10 crit bonus and 10 base damage. 1430 if you take the base damage and crit, or 1400 if you take the crit bonus and crit.

above you can see that base dmg and crit dmg are two different things.

and yes i do agree with you that base dmg >>>> crit multiplier and base crit dmg increser since most tso mobs debuff crit and make those two stats useless.

ps. if im reading it wrong then i stand corrected but the way that it's writen leads me to that conclusion.

Uhm, again, as I said, there is no thing thing as "crit base damage", there is crit bonus, and base damage. There is no "crit base damage" that you posted about.

Again, there is no such thing as base critical damage, it does not exist.

And TSO mobs debuff crit chance as far as I've noticed.

* base damage
* crit chance
* crit bonus aka crit multiplier

are 3 separate stats, davngr. we all agree. i think the disagreement thus far has just been a misunderstanding.

there is no such thing as "base crit dmg increser" that you keep referring to, but i believe you just mean "crit chance"

No, that is nothing to do with why base damage > crit bonus. Base damage > crit bonus because 1% Base Damage at 100% crit adds 1.9% damage to all your spells(assuming you had enough spell damage to cap it before and after the 1% Base Damage), whereas 1% Crit Bonus at 100% Crit only adds ~0.7% damage. Dunno, but that makes base damage 2.7 times as effective as crit bonus.

Pinski,

how do you get 0.7% for 1% crit bonus?

you have [Max - Max * 1.3] going to [Max - Max * 1.31] with Crit Bonus going from 0 to 1.

Or, averaging, [1.15 Max] to [1.155 Max] = 0.43% dps increase

Because I was generalizing and ignoring the whole max+1 stuff, not to mention your calculations are completely wrong.

Since 1.31/1.30=~.007. That's at max, either way, it shows how much 1% Base Damage dominates 1% Crit Bonus.

It's a range of [Max to 1.3Max], so you need to average it. Thus 1.15Max and not 1.3Max.

And 1.155/1.15, not 1.31 / 1.30

What am I missing here.

Because it's not a flat distribution? It's a weighted towards the start distribution......... Your average crit won't be at the dead center of max+1 to max*1.3. It will be weighted towards max+1 if the normal min*1.3 < max+1.
