The un-arguable answer is no, necros are not the best named killers. I have a decently geared 80 necro, master tank pet, master def stance, master rending, and just about all every other master except the root and fear. I can solo trash in KC, a couple of the names that I can get to easily in KC, and even trash in CoA isn't too much of a problem. The first named in CoA that is only lv 76 I think though (Grulinport), whoops me pretty bad, even with another charmed 76 mob helping my tank. The tank pet has good hps (14K), and I even have some gear with Stone defense effect which increases its hps and defense skill, and I have like 6 spells that proc a 3900 heal with tainted heals line but the damage comes in way too fast too keep him up for longer than 15-20 secs. The big problem is he only has about 2500 mitigation.

I know of Coercers that were soloing names in Chelsith before TSO came out so the Coercer, maybe illy, is for sure the best named soloer. Necros are good and can solo stuff that some classes can't, but no way the best.

Well, depend on how you define solo. If by solo you mean killing yellow ^^^ named, then no, no way. One thing I think we are the best at though is, give me an open field of mobs like Jarsath Wastes filled with 80-82 solo mobs and I'll rip through 100 of em faster than any other class. Sure an assassin could kill 2 or 3 faster, but they will take some damage and lose some power and eventually have to slow down. I will never run out of power, and can finish every fight with my tank pet at full hps with tainted heals. The tank pet power is the only thing that limits me in any way, and when he runs out I just dismiss and resummon, short 10 sec down time and I'm back at it. If I pull and extra mob I can fear it, root it, or just pop the pet aoe from Sta line and he'll be on tank, and it's no problem to heal him with 2 or even 3 82^'S whacking on him.

That's something I do regularly. I used to solo red mobs when I was 50 ish, in barren sky and bonemire. That bit has just gotten better since.

Soloing nameds? Well I can defo farm PoA, but who can't? I tried doing some sebilis stuff, couldn't get past a few ^^^, so I brought a friend's warden so heal the pet. We did it past a few of them, so we decided to give CoA a shot. The named was up at the entrance and pretty much three shot my pet. 84^^^, and no dice.

Behind us came a coercer and killed him like no man's business. Crap.

A coercer? really? I've been putting up with shitty DPS for 65 lvls, thinking I will be able to solo better than anyone and a coercer beats me?! Shit. Well, since named can't be stunned, what spell combo do they use? Or, I guess, general strategy?

Enchanters get a shit ton of stuns/stifles/dazes/memwipe/ass rapage that summoners just dont have.

When the mobs ca's are canceled out, all they have is auto attack, but those get canceled too, so when the mob isnt able to do shit but sit there and take it like a bitch, there isnt to many ways around that....

that named is easily killable by a solo necro. Names that are immune to CC in a zone where there is undead to charm are best solo'd by a necro imo. Any other situation we are bested by several other classes.
