I usually don't have problems with getting groups for the majority of the easier zones. Usually for the hardest of the 3 like RR and Guk:stronghold groups are looking for a bard or chanter er something but then its not just necros getting the shaft, it would be like 18 or 20 of the 24 classes that they are not looking for. If someone tells me they don't want me as dps for some shit zone like Scion or DF I start linking my myth and all my raid gear in tells to them until they invite me and then I post all the parses in group chat to show them how much better I am than all of them.

I certainly can understand! Like some here I have the advantage of being raid equipped, but I am thinking my LFG message should be..

"80 Necromancer LFG! I am raid equipped, but choose to wear legendary due to repair costs".

Hehe, a joke! Like the advice given, I have had to build a little reputation so that when I do the rare pick up group, they remember how I performanced last we grouped.
The only other option I think may be to build your own groups, form with friends, or guildies.

I think I will steal Davngr's suggestion.
