EverQuest II Players - Profile for Opti

I'm running kind of low on crit atm, replaced eye mounted ring with signet of betrayal, and i'm currently sitting at 82% with no buffs :/ get up to 101 in raids. Any suggestions on improvements? Have aob earring, t3 robe, t2 leggings, t4 forearms, vp gear sitting in my bags atm.

Symbols adorned with crit chance? If not I'd try that and switching palace earring for the AoB one for starters.

And I'm assuming you use the crit pots and scrolls too right?

i'm not entirely sure why you'd want to pump up your crit at the expense of other stats more so that the equivalency would recommend. you don't have overwhelming amount of +crit bonus to warrant it.

imo you have near ideal gear setup for a mid-level raiding guild necro. only thing i'd change is the bauble trinket to something like glass heart since you got GVBs. or even lubeshian symbol. argument can also be made for Grouper's wrist over GVB wrist, but it's closer to a wash.

+50disease adornments on symbols are significantly better than +1crit since your +BoE is nowhere near "too much"

you guys think the 5 crit earring besides the earring from ferzhul? using the remorseless hoop + ferzhul earring atm will have ethernauts soon.

Palace earring didn't seem to do anything amazing for my parse, fuck the pet and boost yourself imo. I always went with more crit (trying to keep near 100 crit and 800 spell dmg) vice + spell dmg and it worked out great. Best thing to do is parse the different combos to find out what works for you.

the palace ear does about 35dps for my main pet and 15 to 20 on the limited pets so if you use limited pets you can get about 65 dps out of the ear. not that great tbh if you feel your crit or boe is lacking i would go with another ear.

btw this is all dummy testing i have yet to test the ear out in raid.

What can your guild kill currently? This would obviously impact what items you can and cant wear. Here is what I would do in your shoes.

1) Snag the earing off Gynok in place of your one from AoB. If you are able to kill Tyrannus grab his earing instead; its beast.
2) If crit is your main problem get the Trak belt in place of the one your wearing. +10 crit ftw. If crit is not really that much of a problem get the belt from vek2 all assuming that you cant kill anashti btw for her belt.
3) Get the symbol orb off mayong. Camp him like madman and give your guild free candy for killing him. Also, get the symbol from palace. Drops from the named after switchmaster.
4) Get the wrist from tombs or zarrakon in place of the ingot one. Assuming that you dont kill avatars for their wrists.
5) For Armor I would say try and get your fabled set from the x2 zone until you are able to get your raid set excluding the helm for the hood you have or later the hood off Gozak.

Other then that your next step is to kill avatars and anashti to get the upgrades you need. Or items we have yet to see from Ykesha and/or Munzok.

Thanks for the help guys. Not quit up to killing gynok/any of those other l33t mobs that you mentioned :P. Did get the earring off switch instead of the aob one. I check mayong all the gd time, never up. And I've started switching some gear out depending on group setup, like if I have UT (which I almost always do in raids) I use the 2 set VP bonus from the legs/forearms, and the 2-set from the hands/feet from TSO. And if I dont, I use forearms/boots from TSO with the t2 pants and DMG, and that seems to be the best option.

Was just wondering why you would recommend the wrist from ToMC over the ingot? It seems boe can be hard to come by until the better gear. I only ask because I went after the ingot before the bangle, and passed on the bangle quite a few times since. I know the 2 reuse is nice, but better than 100 boe?

I have found the boe does not do necro's much justice because we are a low dmg dot based class while reuse is absolutely godly.

I would say a safe amount of boe for a necro would be between 700-800. Much more then that you are counting pennies.
