Symphonic Manacle - how does it work?
One of the rewards from Maestro drop that looks interesting (other than Death Chimes) is Symphonic Manacle

Anyone know what the +5% duration would do for us? Specifically does it give Soulrot another tick? |

TBH i have never tried that item. I for one doubt it would add another tick to soulrot. It probably just adds a small duration to de-buffs and temps like consume. Either way 5% is defenatly not worth it. If it was 25% it might be an item worth looking at or trying out.

Usually when duration is added to dots it just stretches out the dot. Meaning it will still do the same amount of dmg, but it will take 5% as long.

yes, but the "usual" meaning of stretching the dot makes no sense as a desirable effect on an item to best of my knowledge, thus my question in hopes of it having not the usual meaning in this case

It will strech the time between ticks of a DoT and will not add any more ticks, it is nice for buffs and debuffs "I use it on my defiler"
See harmonize or whatever the troub buff is as it works the same as the manacle. |

How does harmonize work the same as the manacle? Harmonize makes it so that dots last 1 less tick, but deal the same amount of damage, while the manacle makes them last longer with the same amount of damage.

If your DoT lasts 16 seconds and does 4 total triggers every 4 seconds it will now last 16.8 seconds still do 4 triggers but the triggers will now go off every 4.2 seconds. |

Uhh, Harmonization doesn't make dots tick less times, it just makes the duration decrease, going from 4 tics in 16s, to 4 tics in 14.4s instead. Thus increasing DPS.
