I consider myself a novice when it comes to making macros in this game, and even though I've found some descent faq/tutorials on macros, I've yet to find anything necro specific. I'm sure there's much in the macro department to that us necros can share with each other.

Examples could be a macro to cast four spells on a single macro button.

If someone sends you a tell for a heart then auto-cast heart to the requestor.

Those are just a couple that pop into my head, but please feel free to share any macros that you might have created or found that will help out us fellow necros.

/cancel_spellcast + use a _____ remedy macro

/cancel_spellcast + cast cure arcane macro

/cancel_spellcast + cast cure arcane with self as target macro

/cancel_spellcast + cast deathly pallor macro

announcing in /p and /r when and who you are rezzing macro

announcing when you are casting raidwide hearts macro

announcing when you are casting lifeburn macro

I played with a Necro yesterday who had great macro for LB.

First it hit /g with an all caps message
Then it hit /shout same msg
then it hit /tell to me THREE TIMES in a row with the same all caps msg.
Then he paused for about a second before he started burning.

While some may feel bad about spamming the healer like this, I loved it. I was able to toss Torpor on him before he got too low in health then throw a heal or three at him.

From a healer's point of view this was a great macro.


He also had a nice rez macro so I wouldn't waste time trying to get people up if he was already on it. that one is pretty common but still very useful.

The shout portion is a bit much tbh, I just try to make my "in group" macro a little chat window excessive so it stands out enough to get their attention. But my raid macro has tells to several healers as well as an excessive raid chat message.

lol lifeburn was such a bitch I think it would be easier to screen shot that macro .. I think in its peak I had 17 lines?? group, raid, guild, tell, say and shout... healers still wouldnt fucking heal me and that doesnt account for the 10 second warning over voice chat either!

I think i had pussin about 10 /tells. It was getting so bad, I had a macro for each healer, didn't care what group thy were in..and it went as far as each healer had their own macro...said something different each time. Still didn't get any bloody heals.

Tho now i get them, as bitching in vent does get the point across..after awhile
