Default Pets healing the named in tso?

I was told today (on the naga fight) that pets (both dumbfire and primary pets) will heal the named if they are killed. I was wondering if there is any truth to this? I seem to recall someone saying this wasn't true. I don't remember where I had read it though.

I can never verify this myself due to the fact my eyes are always on my det window waiting for various dots or curses.

I am not really sure on the snake but i know in eg. the maestro fight if u do NOT cure from the arcane it will heal Maestro, and this also counts for your main pet but certainly not Dumbfire pets.

But i dont think the snake has this kind of punishment for not curing other then it just kills u

If you mean your pet's death then no it doesnt heal the named
if you are about some specific dots like on maestro then yes, tell your healers to quit slacking or tell your raid leader to get rid of useless furies and recruit some inquisitors

So as long the curse or dot explicitly does not state that it will heal the named if it expires without being cured, then it will not heal the mob?

And pet deaths alone will not heal the mob?

Sorry for sounding redundant. I'm trying to avoid any confusion that might arise when I point my guilds' leadership to this thread.

i use my pet on every fight and have never seen my pet heal a mob.

make sure you pay attention to aoe calls or run your own ACT so you can use pacts

Point your guild leadership here so we can tell them they're fucking retarded. The only time pets were a major issue was AoW in RoK.

Maestro is probably the only mob in the game right now where your pet can heal the mob if you fail to cure. And curing the pet is pretty trivial on Maestro, so if your raid leader says no pets on Maestro, ignore them and use your pet anyway.

Said it before, and I'll say it again. Pet deaths do not heal mobs. Period.
