Wow its funny how much we still agree D ... If you bought a master or a piece of gear to me, its no different than buying a mythical update. Why isn't it? You didnt 'earn' that master or that piece of gear ... you earned the plat. And if you want to say you earned the plat to buy it, then you earned the plat to buy the update to your quest.

Calagin nailed another reason too besides the ones i've listed (unwillingness to stick to a schedule like a raid guild may have, unwillingness to leave friends/family behind) a shitty schedule your ownself that you CANT normally raid with other people regularly (rotating work schedule or just a life that does not allow it).

In the end its a 'judgement' call ... we did it once (sold an update) ... honestly I myself WISH we would do it more often, why not? It doesn't hurt anything in my opinion, if anything its a 'victim less crime.'

Oh and as for it making people better or not ... I was joking. But if you think about it, it does make you better. I'll use my Zerk as a for instance cause I'm sad he's my alt. His gear is not nearly as good as it used to be (was geared real well in t7) and now not so, but the mythical makes him able to take hits from harder mobs, as well as hold agro better on adds due to the 100% auto attack. So even if i sucked (which i don't ... but let's just say i do), i would be better by default because of it. :-)

did your zerk mythical come with an instruction guide on how to play a zerk? nobody ever said you wont be able to dps more or take hits better with a myth... the point is, if you are a shitty player and you get a myth you are a shitty player with a myth... if your toon is automatically performing better due to no intervention by you as a result of a great piece of gear, guess what? still not a better player...

and yah, selling mythicals doesnt hurt anyone, you guys and stasis have at it and enjoy...

I don't see any problems with selling mythical updates.

Really, it is selling loot rights. Loot rights to a stupid quest update designed by SOE to be a raid update

Does anyone actually care who has what mythical and how they got it... or is it who can clear what zone in what amount of time? I mean, this isn't the "Nektulos Who-Has-A-Mythical Thread"... is it?

If you cannot see the difference between selling loot rights to a rare instance drop or a master that can potentially drop from any trash mob and accepting payment for updating a long and involved mythical epic item, then you are seriously deluding yourself to justify your actions.

The truth of the matter is, when a guild solicites the updates in exchange for plat - they are trivializing each of the accomplishments of its members and the guild as a whole.

If you don't care, however, I suppose that is all that really matters
