Yes, this is what I was going for. I realize that Widem's parse is helped by having the right raid setup. Even if you cut that number in half it would still beat 90% of the raiders in Purgatory. They are probably the only guild that will keep a wizard in a raid when that wizard is doing less than 100 dps. My level 38 trouby would be more useful in a T7 raid. At least my buffs would still help. The leaders of Purgatory never understood most of the people there were just along for the ride. But you wouldn't want to hurt their feelings and tell them they need to pull their weight. Don't worry, you should be able to clear the T7 content once you guys all hit 80.

There has been several raiding guild start ups of recent, though it looks like rebirth is already dead, as they only have two level 70 toons left in guild. Although Rebirth did just make a recruiting post on the official forums today, so I don't know, I guess they're still trying to form up. At this point though, Rebirth is looking a lot like Envy...

But all sarcasm aside, I'd like to see some more decent raiding guilds on this server, so good luck to those trying, it looks like Virulence may form up a decent guild, though only time will tell.

I see this happening in 1 of 2 ways.

First way, try to recruit people by telling everyone you are going to be an elite guild and try to recruit players that think they are elite. This usually end with all those people leaving when they don't clear all the zones after a few days.

Second way, get people that are willing to take the time and effort to actually work to get something. They may not have the best gear, but they are willing to learn and take the time it takes to get up to speed.

So far lots of people have tried option #1 and failed. After all, it is the path of less work. Mostly we hear about them because it is so fun to mock them.

Its kind of impossible at this point in time because SOE adds so little contested raid content that there is not a chance for any guild but the "top dog" to kill them.

The only way for a guild to challenge disso on this server would be at a new expansion release. They would have to level faster than us to make up for the gear/effects we have that they simply cannot get. After they leveled faster than us, they would actually have to know more about the game and each individual would have to be able to outperform ours as well as commit more time to each encounter, because lets face it, for the most part we've been there and done that at this point.

Its just not going to happen unless SOE goes back towards how it was in t5 when there was 14 contested mobs AND some instances so that, while yes, we will get a vast majority of the contested, other guilds will have a chance to get a few.

However, with persistant zones coming, nobody really has a chance unless we deem the mob just not worth our time atm now. Sorry, but SOE has decided that raiders are not important enough to add enough worthwhile content, therefore its very unlikely that anyone will ever come close to us on this server unless we decide we've had enough.

I don't think it would take them leveling up faster or increasing their skill. I think a consolidation of skilled players would work. Right not there are 10 guild that are all trying to compete with you. They only end up competing with themselves. If you took the best players from each of guilds and could get them to compete with you, they might have a shot. The challenge is in organizing that to happen, they would have to work together to dethrone Disso. I don't ever see it happening.
