Why can my mage equip a 1h slashing weapon (sentinel's blade) when I don't get the slashing skill and have 0% hit rate with it?

There are spears in SoS that Templars can equip with no slashing skill too, along with some fang from some epicx2/naed in ToS. the PC term ia called.. developmental laziness.. more appropriatel some bleary eyed dev after drinking way too much the night before fucked up,and the /bug reports get shuttled to the back of the line into the 'not game breaking', 'who the fuck cares' and 'haha thats gonna screw up some noob's mind' section.

and there's also a dual wield crushing weapon you can get from one of the graveyard quests that is scout usable... of course it never hits, but you can wield it.

There are some slashing skill two handers I could equip as a defiler. I could agro a mob and swing with them, but they'd never hit, since I didn't have slash skill.

I was pissed and transmuted them.

I used 2h blunts for when gardener charms

Its faster to equip 1 two handed blunt weapon than trying to unequip a set of DW.

And nothing I cast hits sans my snare =|
