Default Why didn't rez work?

So I somehow ended up in my first 2-group raid the other night and have a couple more noob questions for you...

1. If I get a rez box while the raid is wiping (no, I wasn't the one that wiped the raid ), is it standard practice to hold onto it until the mob paths back to it's spawn point?

2. After the mob returned to it's spawn point, I still had approximately 45 secs left on the rez, I hit "yes" and nothing happened. I checked my combat logs and I didn't get any message about why I didn't get rezzed. Did I do something wrong or does that type of thing happen often?

If the person who rezzed you is either a) dead, or b) too far away from you when you click yes to accept the rez - then it will not work

Hmm, that sucks, but that explains it. A couple more questions about wipe recovery...
If the mob is still running around killing people nearby and you accept the rez, do you get added to his agro list?
If the mob is still running around killing people but not in agro range and you accept the rez, are you ok?
If the mob is done killing people and running back to his bind point and you rez, are you ok or will it agro you when it runs past?

Thankies much!

form my experience the answer to the first two is 'maybe' - depends on the mobs and group (buffs etc) - on the third, no you'll be fine if mob is non-aggro and running back.

Usually its best to wait until the wipe is complete and mob is back at spawn before rezing, tho there are always exceptions. For example if you have died right next to the mobs bind point, then you definitely take any rezes thrown at you regardless if you'll die - just make sure its somewhere safer.

I take the rez and run for a safe spot. As long as you don't buff, heal, take any action against the mob or get hit by one of his aes, you wont get back on his aggro list. Thats why i res and run to a safe spot. You seem to have a second of immunity while you are flying from the res where you can move and mobs don't seem to see you or hit you or anything.
