Default Question: The Fury Class

Greetings,

I was curious if the Fury class has a good amount of value to groups and raids at higher level. I like the idea that I can heal very well but still do good damage if we have an extra healer with us or its an easy encounter etc.. However if it is really lacking at the higher levels I may want to go with something else. I love being a utility class that can still hold their own and I'm open to suggestion.

Just want to get a general consensus on the subject.

Hard to be a raider as a fury, you have to be unbelievably good.

I could throw a stone in EQ2 and hit 4 furies within 3 meters of me.

There everywhere.

But they are damn fine group healers and have no problem keeping people alive except in the more stressful healing situations (where other classes like templars shine).

They're incredibly fun but if the class is going to get in the way of me raiding later on I may just have to find something else. Any suggestions for a utility/heal class that has good damage/soloability(will duo a lot with a Assassin)? I'd be more flexible on the soloing end of thigns but at the low levels finding groups is more of a pita then anything else I'd say.

Non heal classes

Swashie?
Ranger?

Heal classes
Warden (more heals less dps version of Furies)
Fury

Your screwed when it comes to other healers that dps... unless you got sweet gear.

I know my GF plays a fury and I'm a brigand, we can duo just about anything (instance wise) givin enough time. I also have a 70 templar that i box with my brig, i don't dps with him, hes my buff/heal bot ;)

But as suggestions go... You should play whats fun (sounds like a fury is fun for you)... Learn how to top the heal parse and how to top the DPS parse, Joining a raiding guild shouldn't be too hard, if your good ;)

.. And the most requested 4 classes for raiding are bards and chanters..

While it might be true that there are a bit too many furies around, utility wise they are very functional in a raid setting. Heal if you need to, DPS if you're healer heavy. You fit nicely into either a mage group or a scout group and can take a MT grp druid spot if needed. Adjust your AA spec based on where you tend to fit into raid wise and you're good to go.
