To grind xp I'd have to say Necromancer since you have pretty much unlimted mana once you get lich and you're able to heal yourself while doing damage. Illusionist can kill pretty much anything non epic. And Brawler might be your best bet for farming since they can train to wherever they want to.

Yep. I can speak for soloing a warden. I did it from lvl 40 to 80. If you get a mix of healer leather and brawler leather, max out your combat arts and get the AA double attack percentage at the end of one of the EOF aa trees there is not much you can't do. Are our roots pretty damn stable...ayup....can we do most anything? ayup...it might take a few minutes but with the right gear you can do it.

Necro is also fast xp...basically any chanter, summoner class is easy and soloable. Brig is very good as well.

So choices in order so far:

1. Necormancer/Conjuror
2. Illusionist/Coercer
3. Brigand
4. brawler - monk or bruiser

Try them out and see which you like best.

And last but not least...play the class you enjoy and have fun =)

Almost forgot...the ROK gear itemization is excellent for mages and druids. I've gotten so much good stuff on my warden in ROK that I have a two bags...nearly three full of back up gear

I originally started on a necromancer and leveled her to 70/100 so can also speak for that class and say it's easy shmeesy...just don't try the AFK, let pet kill crap you will find yourself suspended or banned faster than you say " I play EQ2".

I am going to narrow it down to necro and illusion. Going to try them both and see which one I like. Honestly I think I am going to go with necro, I always wanted to make one in EQ1 but knowing that you are preaty much not needed stoped me.

- Pets can do the work while you harvest, collect shinies, pick ya nose, watch porn
- Heal with ya yummie taps
- Unlimited Mana..unless your a noob and seem to die alot with it on as your health isn't going up as your not tapping
- And we just fecking rule

The pet mechanic to automatically defend a player not in combat will eventually have to change, it's too often and easily abused.

pets aren't strong enough to do much when they aren't being controlled. They require heals, and other attention. Unless you're talking about solo green mobs, in which case, good luck....

The best melee solo classes are Bruisers, Monks and Shadowknights.

However, that being said, your ability to solo heroics and nameds is going to be very dependent on gear, aa, and spell levels (especially for the SK).

It might be best, like some people here stated, going through the game with a solo caster class initially, while making money to gear up your brawler/SK.
