Default Alt Guilds

Why do high end raid guilds always seem to have "alt guilds"? Is it really that big a deal if there are more than 30 toons on your roster? Even if everyone has 5 alts and maybe there are 1 or 2 people who aren't active raiders for whatever reason. Big Deal. The only thing i can think of is that it might make guild splits easier.

Default Re: Alt Guilds

A min-maxer would keep the alts in the guild under a separate rank for status gain and loot record, not to mention keeping a closer eye on what guildies do outside of raid time. But getting bombarded with low level loot spam would get annoying, and if you boot someone you have to fish out all their alts too.
