Resists are really the only worthless stat but agility is probable a close second. Diminishing returns on resists and mitigation in my opinion ruined a lot of encounters especially raid encounters in this game. That being said neither are totally useless but the difference from 7k resists to 10k resists isnt really enough to make that much difference while 600 to 800 agility will make nearly 0 difference unless you are tanking. Honestly I wish SOE would do something about resists and mitigation but I highly doubt it.

As for the original question though, no the 1% melee range isnt going to do jack for your toon.

melee means close-range, so your phrase is an oxymoron.

I did a lil test with hexdollies... +10wis = a whopping +13 to all resists. This is well under the deminishing returns point, solo/unbuffed in the 4k range for most resists at level 76.

In summary: Wisdom, to all but healers, is the suck. Even as a Pally, where it theoretically is supposed to be a big difference maker to their power pool... it ain't. Pallys swig power like water but, even with zero WIS modifiers they have plenty of power by loading up on STR... a much more useful stat btw... packmules hit like trucks?... sweet!
