With respect to the OP ... it's all in the spinnerets and well-timed silk manipulation.

I'd like to know how my stealth attacks get parried about 25% of the time. If he can't see me, why is he aware enough of the blade I'm about to stick in him to block it?

Because technically he can see you. By game mechanics once you engage a mob, they can always see you, whether you are stealth, invisible, or not.

That doesn't account for when I'm soloing and opening a fight with a stealth attack, which is when I actually notice it happening. The attack that gets parried is what is actually engaging me with the mob, therefor it stands to reason that it should not be able to be parried/blocked.

Stealth attacks on non-see stealth mobs to begin a combat should be unparry/blockable. Mid-fight, sure, no arguement there, but if you can't see me and have 0 reference to my position or that I even exist you should not be able to parry/block my first attack.

When performing an ambush backstab, it is best not to aim for the opponent's weapon, but rather their flesh. I hope this helps you.

But what of skeletons which cannot see you when you are invisible? This suggests that they rely on actual sight, yet they have no eyes.
