I was trying to upgrade some of my spells and saw some spell scrolls on the broker. Are these the same as regular spells? They seem to be, but also are missing some information that the spells have like range. Liked seeing the icon for each spell which is also missing from the spell scrolls. So, am I safe in buying a spell scroll or are they defective in some way?

This is the way it goes:

(Apprentice I) - Your normal spell
(Apprentice II) - You can buy this from your class merchant in town
(Apprentice IV) - Handcrafted spell scroll
(Adept I) - Looted from Treasure Chests
(Adept III) - Mastercrafted spell scroll
(Master I) - Looted from Exquisite Chest

If you are grinding your way up fast, then the cheapest way is to only search for Apprentice IV or Adept I. If you mouseover the spellicon while examining the spell, you will see another examining window of the current version of the spell pop up beside it, and you will see at what version this spell currently is.
