Crono

So I havn't played for about 6 months and wanted to start afresh. What would be the best solo dps, non pet, qeynos class to play. I assuming either swash or Monk. Thanks.

Thats pretty much right. Swash/monk are the only ones that fit your criteria. Swash does a significant amount of dps over a monk while leveling up, and can take more hits, but monk has a heal and FD, and gets hit slightly less often.

If you play a swash, tbh I'd roll a dark elf brigand then betray. Or a Ratonga. The differences aren't game-breaking but if you min/max at all you'll regret not doing so eventually.

FD is gay. Convienient, but too many place the bruiser class as the "best soloers" for this ability. Go Brig and betray, or, do whatwhever you have to to get to Qeynos. SK's are good solo DPS i hear...but Brig i think ftw, unless you want to go cloth and go wiz/lock to farm named end game?

Not a DPS class, and don't mean to dbl post but, for shitting out the hardest mobs possible, the coercer is hardly beaten.

If your playing on Antonia Bayle, stay away from Illusionist. There are a lot of of them being brought up right now. I rolled 2 toons to 70 and chose an Illusionist as my third due to the info I found here on Eq2Flames that said they were good solo/utility class. As well as the fact that i had RARELY grouped with them in the 6 mo's it took to roll 2 toon's to 70. Two nights ago I was LFG and there were 4 other Illusionists LFG in the 40-49 channel. I ended up grouped with one of them in CT, where yet a different (6 if your counting) Illy showed up in CT in a guild group to hit the instance. Two people in the group, both with T8 toons, commented on NEVER having seen 3 Illy's in the same place before.
