Default Veteran Rewards - Worth finding an old EQ1 account?

I had played EQ1 from release until it's Luclin expansion. Does anyone know how EQ2 veteran rewards work? Would it be worthwhile for me to attempt to go and dig up my old EQ1 account? Would existing EQ2 characters I have get the longer veteran rewards if I xferred them to my super old account? Are those rewards even worth the trouble?

Nope, it's mostly titles and pictures and potions. Totally not worth it the way EQ1 veteran rewards are.

Yea I wouldn't. They do have some cool and fun items but nothing that will make or break you.

None of this answers your question totally. EQ1 account doesn't matter, only active subscription time on the EQ2 account, + rewarded days for expansion purchases.
If your EQ1 account is 6 years old, but you made an eq2 account 2 months ago (for example) and transferred characters to eq1 account (which had never been eq2 activated except for a week ago, maybe), the eq1 account itself would STILL only be as old as whenever you activated it (in this case a week), plus any extra days for the game purchase (if they do that sort of thing for a new account, starting you at 97 days or something). But I don't know those details, just that your old eq1 account wouldn't even matter.
Further: say you had an eq2 account you activated on live day, played a month, and let go inactive. If you re-activated now, you'd STILL only have that 1 month or so of sub-time, so that would be your account age.
And, as said, the rewards are kinda just fluff anyway: xp potions and fireworks being the best among them.

I don't think that is right because I had my account go inactive many many months however I got my 4 year within the same days of everyone else.

When you play EQ2 your account age depends on when you STARTED your account, not how long you've been paying for it for.

I started my account on day one and quit soon after, came back during KoS and had a higher account age than most.

Yup, kinda defeats the purpose of a tue Veteran reward. But my original EQ2 account which was created at game launch has 0 chars but has the 4 year vet rewards while my EQ2 account which is tied to my EQ1 account just finally received it. I have a ton of guildies that left after it went live and came back when SoE reactivated them to lure them back pre-RoK. Kinda crappy on SoE's part, but what can you expect?

And on a side note, I love how you can get a vet reward for having your acount activated 1 day, or 1 week, 1 month and 3 months etc. then once you hit the 2, 3, and 4 year marks you only get something once a year... WTG SoE, we love you too!

Thanks a lot. So I guess I won't be digging through my piles of CDs trying to find my original EQ cd key for the account.

You wouldn't need the cd key for eq1 either. only your login and PW. just like any online game. the key is only good once.
