I like Gorowyn personally. All in the one area, but it is a bit confusing and annoying getting to some places at times; on the other hand, once you get used to it, everything is right -there-, easy to get to. Took me forever to find the mage/priest/whatever guild(s). The crafting area is nice. Newbie house, bank/broker and crafting all in one little area. That, and I personally prefer the architecture of Gorowyn. The newbie inn room is in a fairly round shape, but that doesn't bother me. *shrug*

In other words, players should bitch and they should chop this shit out.
Because only 1/3 of the classes are neutral and can choose to keep the same class when betraying. Meaning the other 2/3 would bitch and demand that they get equivalent Masters in their new class when betraying.

The better fix would be to give up the pathetic pretense of Good versus Evil and just let people roll-up any race/class combination they want and choose any hometown they want without any of the city alignment bullshit. There is no Good versus Evil in EQ2 (except for the even more pathetic pretense on the ganking servers).

I moved from Neriak to Gorowyn on my dirge. Personally, I like Gorowyn better than Freeport, but then again, I like Neriak better than Freeport and Kelethin better than Qeynos too. Single zone cities > multi zone cities IMHO. I hate having to zone multiple times to do quest turn ins and stuff.

Plus I'm a housing whore and I like the layout of the Gorowyn homes and wanted to have a character there. The dirge was the only evil character that I had that didn't already have a 5 room house in Neriak, so he got drafted. It's all good since I'm making a pimping music room/theater out of the top room in my 5 room Gorowyn house.

That aside, Gorowyn gives you quick and easy access to Kunark (as long as you're over level 65), as well as access to both Butcherblock and Freeport from the docks.

Can't anyone also move to Majdul if they get faction there with one of the factions?

Yes, but usually you'll see that out of exiles, who have no other housing options.
