Loss of spells after betraying
Not a n00b but found my self stuck on a n00b question...
If you betray from a good to evil city, and you have a neutral class ( ie Fury/Warden, wizzy/warlock, etc) and you decide NOT to change classes when betraying... do your spells reset to Apprentice I or can I keep my Adepts and Masters?
I have betrayed in the past to a differnt class (my dwarf SK) and I KNOW all spells reset back to app I when that happens, but I never betrayed and stayed the same class.
Thanks!

If you go exile, and then come back from exile you lose your spells, period.

Re: Loss of spells after betraying
Is is possible to move to Kelethin from Qeynos w/o becomming an Exile? They are both good cities...
I'm a Fury who has bought alot of Adepts and masters and can't really afford to re-buy them all, but I am really sick of Qeynos.
Also is Kelethin my only option?

Re: Loss of spells after betraying
Simple question to the devs: If "proof of loyalty" is good enough for the NPC's when changing cities while keeping the same class, why add the completely bullshit penalty of wiping out the knowledge book? Why punish the player for betraying when you can't even generate enough sensible lore to provide the bite?
In other words, players should bitch and they should chop this shit out.

I agree, but that doesn't answer my question.

Re: Loss of spells after betraying
you can switch citizenship without betraying as long as you're moving to a city of the same alignment.
possible exception: gorowyn (evil). cuz i dunno.
but kelethin <-> qeynos and neriak <-> freeport don't require betrayal.

Re: Loss of spells after betraying
Gorowyn is aligned evil even though they have no problem with good aligned people using their merchants, banks, quests etc. Only evil can live there and it's classed the same as Neriak and Freeport - you don't need to betray to get there, it's a matter of being a Freeport citizen then carrying a letter to Gorowyn to change alignment to there.
For good aligned, yes your only option is Kelethin if you want out of Qeynos, but be aware that travel becomes more difficult from there if you don't have easy access to a portal character. If you're a house enthusiast, you should also consider that round rooms are a pain in the arse to decorate /grin. That said, it's way more convenient in the town itself, everything is close by, no zoning to get to the various sections and the tradeskills are very conveniently located.

Re: Loss of spells after betraying
Has anyone moved to Gorowyn from FP? Do you like it better. I'm sick of FP, but not sure about the other options.
Thanks!
