Default What happens when you transfer a character?

As I haven't transferred any character yet in nearly 4 years of playing I was wondering about a few things, as I plan to transfer a couple of characters across to my other account on the same server so that I can duo/box them :-

1st of all, how long does it take normally for them to transfer a character from the time you pay for it and confirm it through the website?

2nd, Does having a character transferred them lock one or both accounts till the transfer is complete?

3rd, Is you character deguilded during the transfer?

I know it's going to cost me $50 per character and I do own both accounts, but is there anything else I should know about before I go ahead and do it?

Mnay thanks

The accounts are not "locked" but I wouldn't go try to log in to the characters being moved until I got confirmation they were moved.

The process takes no more than 5 minutes as was said, probably less. You'll get 2 e-mails for each one moved. One e-mail says "thanks for fitty bucks" or something and the next one you get confirms the move and it's a done deal. When I did it, it was probably less than a minute said and done.

You cannot have anything on the broker of the characters you are moving it will just error out on the transaction.

Shared bank items will obviously not be accessible across to the 2nd account so plan accordingly there as well.

Lastly, back when they did the server merge, if your character was on the server that merged and your house / apt was brought over there was a bug I guess where the house items are temporarily dislocated from the character. So you have to actually go in and pick up and place all the house items that belong to that character or they will not move with the character.

I got a fail notice when I tried to transfer earlier. (didn't remove sales crates from broker even though they were empty....I think is the reason)

Do they resubmit every so often...or do I have to go through the motions again? Email was rather vague on what to do....

Read somewhere here they put a hold amount against the CC every time until the transaction takes....

You will have to resubmit. I suggest re-reading all the prerequisites though so that you don't have to keep trying. I made the mistake of trying over and over without reading all the fine print, only to have my bank throw up red flags for internet purchasing abuse. You'll only get charged once, in the end.
