I've now accumulated about 6 different runes from sinking sands (rune of Ack, etc) and have no idea what they are good for. They are worth very little, but when they drop you are only allowed to have one of each type. so there must be a reason for that. I leave a lot of em behind cause I can't loot them any more. My temptation is just to destroy the damn things, but before I do something stupid, thought I'd ask here. Anybody know?

Peacock Club questline, you use them to summon the ghosts in Living Tombs. Really, just save a phar and orus rune if you plan on ever doing it.
