My fiance and I are going to start playing eq2 (I used to play, he's just starting). I'm looking for a list of computer parts to make a decent machine for around 700-800 dollars per tower. i.e. - motherboard, graphics card, sound card, etc. Since the regular EQ forums aren't letting me post a new thread, I figured I'd come here. *rant rant rant on how the other eq2 board is ghey* So if anyone is good with computers and knows their shit, list em here. Thank you!

well you can skimp out on the CPU as EQ2 only takes advantage of 1 core, so id reccomend i higher end single core AMD Athlon (FX if you can afford it).

ABIT, and ASUS both make reliable inexpensive Motherboards for around 100 bux

Videocard id go with an Nvidia, if you can find a used 8800 for not too much go with it.

Powersupply, go Antec... most reliable out of the rigs ive built so far (gonna be about 50-100 bux depending on where) get atleast 600 watts.

Ram, 2GB of whatever value ram you can get pc3200 is usually cheap as is DDR-2.

Maxtor or WD for hard drives, again price varries as far as speed and storage size...

should come between 700-800, I'm sure other people can recommend better selections
