Default Turning "off" combat experience

Okay guys, I have been playing a month and a half now, and I can see now that I have made some pretty big errors concerning leveling. I had thought that AA was earned during "standard" leveling and thus I have grinded my toon to and have very little AA.
I have been reading these forums and am finally understanding some of the strategy used in creating a good character (I just wish there had been some documentation with the game explaining some of the "system") and I know now (Thanx to EQ2 Flames) that I can keep my level relativly low and gain a bunch of AA (which will be very helpful in PVP)
I have heard many here speak of "turning off" combat XP and for the life of me I cannot find that option. Perhaps someone could shed some light on how this is done and maybe give me any pertinent info that would be useful to me as I am going to roll a new toon today in order to take advantage of the recent info I have gained.
Thank you.

If you complete quests, discover new areas, kill named mobs, and complete collections, you should have no problem having 100AAs by the time you hit level 70.

If you are just grinding away killing mobs, then yes, you will come up short on AA's. And if you disable combat XP and continue this strategy, it may take years to level. ;)
