New Player Question(s).

Hey, hmmm.. I'm a new player of EQII, and this site.

I currently have a level 4 on the Nagafen server, I've been doing quests etc trying to get used to the game, controls and so on (reminds me of WoW), I wanted to give the PvP side a shot (Yes, even though I'm level 4) to see what it's like.. yet I couldn't find any PvP anywere.

Could someone shine some light on this? =)

Where have you been looking?

Judging by your gear, assuming that your char name is the same as your screen name here, you're on the outpost of the overlord, and you won't find PvP until you move away from the segregated newb isle and to the actual world, unless I'm grossly mistaken.

At low levels it can be quite tricky getting across the world to the "good" side and vice versa if you are new to the game.
Once you make it to Freeport, you might start start to see some goodies in the lower level zones around the city, but you really wont see alot until you are in your teens and speinding yor time in Commonlands (Evil side) or Antonica (good side) the big outdoor areas attached to each major starting city.

Thanks for replies; my in-game name is Merged on the Nagafen Server.

Thing I don't understand properly, is the zones (I'm a Dark Elf), I start off at one part.. walk to another and it says 'You have found...', or alike... I walk in, and it does the same.. at some parts there are cave entrances, which I entered and it said you have entered such and such PvP, which I thought was were the whole PvP'ing would be on this server.. yet nothing in sight, I was baffled and ended up going back to one of my other games :P

I can't find information/help anywhere, and it seems like a really confusing game for new players

Yeah, there are several quests and little areas of discovery on the beginning island. Also, there is a captain on a ship out at the dock that you talk to to leave the zone and head to the "real world". Once you leave the island (where there is no pvp) you cannot go back.
Once in the main city, there are bells on the docks of the small towns that will take you to the lower level outlying zones... whre there still will not be alot of pvp.

There is no "battle ground" in eq2 like wow. You have to go out hunting for it in the over land zones, or it will come to you. =)

if ur new....dont play on naggy its PvP

but if thats ur choice, u cant pvp til lvl 10 anyways

So is nagafen strictly pvp, or do some guilds also raid and pvp?
