Hi everyone, I just started playing eq2 after taking about a year break. Me and my brother want to play on the pvp server when we're not doing our boxing thing on the bazaar.

I was wondering what a good duo for leveling and for pvp would be, my brother loves healing and I'm usually one that likes to get right into the fight and get down and dirty.

That and I have a few pvp questions, how is the level locking now? Are there still level 29's with super twink armor running around with 100 aa's?

How about level 70's healing their friends while they pelt you?

What about level 70's mentoring down and being able to destroy you?

Have they fixed the rangers who just run and evac after they almost 2 shot you?

Just a few general questions, our last experience on the pvp server wasn't the best but we've heared it's better so lemmy know. Thanks for any responses.

Well depends what faction [FP or Q] you choose. It might be a good idea to be 2 classes that benefit eachother. A druid would be a decent healer with any DPS class, maybe fury more if your brother decides to go mage. Whereas an inquisitor might be better suited with a scout (for the extra dps and HP buffs) Mix and match, look up spell lists etc.Many things have changed since a year ago on the PvP servers.You are not allowed to level lock anymore, you gain experience from every PvP kill now. AA's are caped at 1.5x your level. Healers are no longer allowed to heal ANYBODY outside their level ranges [depends on PvP level range](though they can still cure no matter what level.) Level (whatever level) can mentor down to a lower level but they cannot engage, if whoever they are mentoring kills you they receive fame as well (you don't see many people doing this nowadays) Don't know what the ranger situation is, I know you won't see one 2 shotting anybody (untill maybe when they get sniper shot) I do know that hookshot was toned down.

Ya, we're pretty neutral. We can do both Q or FP but I think if we had to choose it would be Q.

My bro doesn't like wardens too much, so I'm not exactly sure what healer to have him role.

Templars are a force to be reckoned with, mystics aren't bad either. I guess it's just healing preference. From my experience at 80 I can say templars are pretty nasty to fight. Haven't encountered many PvP'ing shamans.
