It's an issue of relative quantity of quality players of each archetype. We have always had a lot of good scouts.

But I definitely think that hybrid dps groups are sub-optimal.

Also, if I really thought all mages or our mages sucked, I would just kick them all and go all scout, yet we still keep a mage group...

And I could just as easily criticize you and others for having shitty scouts and thus thinking it's not worth having a malee dps group, but such a criticism would clearly be equally invalid, as it's not really based on anything.

You know, if you just take 24 fighters of mixed classes, you'd never have any problem getting people.

Fights might take forever to complete and you probably wouldn't get to the current tier, but you'd have plenty of people.

LoL I normally don't post in this stuff because either I don't think it through or am totally off base on something but unless they renerf rangers from what I've seen they out parse everyone. Of course my opinion is bias because the only ranger I raid with is Azleya and maybe others can't perform as he can.
