Default How to access Test server

OK I searched for way too long for this not to turn up....how does one access the test server?

And is it a situation where one can copy a lvl 2 over and then make him 80/140 with good gear to see how that class works? What exactly is it for?

As far as I know you cannot transfer to test and the only bonus is +50% experience.

That's only for PvP test correct? I'm pretty sure PvE test copy isn't allowed.

In the past you could only copy to PvP test and it was periodically wiped clean.

They renamed it Test Copy instead of PvP Test so I assume it's going to be wiped periodically but stay around.

PVE Test as people noted above is a separate server that you cannot copy over to....the old PVP as noted above was turned to PVE and is used for copying toons from live over to Test PVP for testing live updates and then yes it's wiped clean.

If you wish to play on the normal test server you have to start from ground zero and work you way up the same as you would on a live server. There is NO buff bot on either regular Test or Test PVP. Sorry....too many people exploited and for that the dev's and GM's have said they will not do that again.

I would suggest just leveling a normal toon on a live server and if you don't like the class then re roll or try betraying. There really is no clear cut way to test out a class at high level to see if you will like it or not unless someone let's you "borrow" their toon which I highly advise against to begin with.

Good luck and just play around....you will probably find what you like soon enough after giving each class a try. Also read up on the class boards here on this website...should give you an accurate picture of what each class does. There is also the noob section where you can ask questions without fear of flamage if you are new to EQ2.

Well it's not really a situation of knowing what each class does, just to what extent...i have a 80 monk, 75 fury and 41 swash.

Im kind of wanting to make a melee healer like a mystic or Inquisitor, but i had also heard wardens can melee decently too. Just wanted to see how well they can, because i have seen inquisitors and mystics over 2K regularly.

If wardens can melee ok (ie solo in RoK) then I could just betray my fury and save my last character slot for the ever-looming Beastlord (Yeah right).

Well I do play a lvl 80 warden on Crushbone and I can say from personally leveling her that yes if you spec combat arts as a warden and choose the other AA lines that support melee then yes you can solo very decently. I was able to do quite a bit alone and enjoyed it...then again I"m a casual player who doesn't raid anymore...I've only done a few raids on the warden and even those times it was as a backup to help a friend's guild. But yeah I would betray to warden...they are good healers and can solo well. I also have a lvl 58 inquis and a lvl 67 mystic on test that I soloed myself...mystic can solo very well using CA's as well and is a lot of fun...

So far as beastlords go...please don't hold your breath. The Dev's have made it clear that the class will never see the light of day in EQ2...same for the armor dyes and such. What I can say is that one class that was recently brought into EQ2 is prime for being a healer...and that is Sarnak....some of the racial traits that they have are a good addition for healer classes....which is why I recently made a sarnak defiler to play.

Good luck and let me know how it goes

PS Legate yes I still do play...check your PM's...
