Default AA System Goofed?

Hi,

I just started playing EQ2 last week, and am loving it.

I've learned that if you group a lot, then you tend to not complete very many quests, which causes you to have a very low AA count. Furthermore, at level 80 there aren't many opportunities to gain AA points.

Someone in game told me that many people reach level 80, have very few AAs, and wind up re-rolling because of this.

Is the above correct? If so, that seems extremely lame.

Yesterday, I hit level 14 and started playing with combat xp turned off to make sure that I catch up on AAs. This is extremely anti-fun way to play.

Please educate me on what's up AAs.

Thanks in advance!

No it's not correct.

I started at Level 60 with 0 AAs. Got to 70 with 50 AAs after a while. Got to 70 with 100 AAs after the next release. Got to 80 with 140 AAs after the next release. It is not difficult. AAs are an AFTER thought, you should not worry about them until you are into the 60s realistically, unless you PvP. It's not only that, but it's also really easy to catch up on them.

Just be sure to make an attempt to clear all the level appropriate zones/instances while you are in the right level range so you get AA for all the discovery and named mob kills as you go.
That actually adds up to a good chunk of AA.

Heritage quests are a good source too if you are taking the time to do them.

As Pinski said, it's not correct. Once you hit max level, all your adventure exp turns to AA exp. So at max level if you're not at max AA, just killing stuff gives you AA experience (albeit very slowly).

You can still do quests at max level to earn AA, and there are quite a few repeatable ones in each zone if you're really dying to get your AA up. In RoK, there are quests a plenty and AA comes very very quickly when you start doing RoK quests.

Killing nameds and completing qeusts is the best way to get AA points, from lvl 10 up to and once you hit 80.

Repeatable quest done give AA exeprience past the first one, unless you count exeprience turned into AA...

Also, you can always mentor someone and go back to do any instances and or quests you didint finish on your way to 80 for added AA experience.
