How can you increase the distance at which you see the names of npcs and resource nodes?

If you are running round harvesting, just hit the tab key at a rapid pace - it will pick up nodes and display their names even when you cant physically see them.

What's so good about it?

Check Options, View Distance, or any other setting including "distance". Using a higher gfx setting will usually improve view distance too.

Yeah, graphics are maxed. I don't think there's an in-game option for it. This will probably be something you add to the ini, if it exists.
