I think you will get the least AA from raiding and the most AA from:
- Heritage Quests
- Quests (even grey quests no reward AAs -- repeatable quests give AA the first time)
- Killing Nameds
- Discovering Areas
- Turning in Collections (this is, by far, the least AA points)

Hmm i disagree, doing all possible raid zones at least once will give a really nice aa boost. IIRC i got 2 aa points from doing Lyceum on an alt back then.

And being an illy it should be easy to get in on pickupraids.

The RoK solo quests will give you the most aa of course, and you kinda need to do them to get to 80 anyway so..

Raiding is good AA the first time you do it.... but just run through all the RoK questlines and you will get plenty of AA there...

On a related note with RoK quests, does anyone know what min # of AA you need to have before doing the quests to ensure you hit 140 when you're done (at level 80)?

IE: You get 50 AA points in RoK, so you need to have at least 90 AA before you start RoK?

I know it is a difficult question to answer because people would have done different things, so I am just looking for a general idea.

I'm planning out my alt and I forget how much I had when I started so I just want to see what other people's experiences are!

Don't forget that ALL xp once you hit level cap is turned into AA. If you hit 80 and are still lacking, you'll catch up fast enough.

I will just say kill every named you can. Form pick up groups to kill lvl 30 and 40 wandering epics. ;)

I had 100 AA at 62, and 132 at 80

All i did before 70 was quests quests quests (and 4-5 HQs, around 20 lore & legend, 10ish collections, and 2-3 dungeons)

After 70 all i did was normal quests in RoK. I didnt do any HQs, or any dungeons before 78

what I did was disable combat experience from L10 to 40.
that was really a personal choice, as this is my second charactor leveling up, and I really felt like I leveled so damn fast the first time that I missed all the little areas, and what fun could have been had there.

the side effect of this was, now I am L51 but have 70AA.
so its a nice way to get AA, if your wanting to change the pace of the game alittle.

but honestly, theres so much grinding from 70 to 80, disabling XP then would just be a pain in the ass.
especially once you get to fens, and your map looks like a christmas tree, full of 100 blinking quests every ten feet.
