Default Are areas equal for lvling?

I've been doing quests (level 12 now) in the Qeynos area. Was just wondering if the newer areas gave more experience or are they equal?

    Thanks in advance!

The amount of XP they give are pretty much equal yes, however they have started doing their Hotspots event thing again, so they purposefully make some certain zones have more XP than the others to encourage people to go to them that usually dont. You can check which zones are the current hotspots on eq2players.com

One thing to consider maybe though, not the xp per kill or quest, but which zones have the easiest, fastest, and most concentrated quests. Darklight woods is pretty high on all those parameters, for example.

Newer areas tend to give better rewards as well. Gorowyn, for example, has the best loot up to level 20 of any other area. Darklight Wood isn't too bad either.

Antonica and Commonlands are old world zones and the loot is reflective of a bygone era. (loot sucks)

As mentioned before, the newer areas seem to be more compartmentalized so questing is a lot quicker as well.

    Enjoy!

    Thanks for the info all.

Are there any sites that would show me how to get from Qeynos to Gorowyn?

Not entirely sure you can do this but there is a griffon that will take you to Gorowyn from Butcherblock. Take a left off the docks, down the beach - head off to the right up a hill - may be a few quest markers to help out finding it.

As you are good alignment, again, not sure if that is a viable option to get to Gorowyn but worth a shot. Also, as Gorowyn is evil, not sure how the guards will react to a goodie either.

I have found good fortune lvling up in Gorowyn. I actually did quite well the last time I worked on my Dirge from Qeynos as well. More running around in Qeynos/Antonica but still can make 20 in 4 or 5 days with moderate playtime.

    Good luck!

Quickest way is Qeynos Harbor -> Sinking Sands -> Gorowyn

In Qeynos Harbor there are carpets on the docks that will drop you off on the Sinking Sands docks.

In Sinking Sands, walk off the docks and under the tent on the left is another carpet. Make sure you right-click the carpet and choose Gorowyn, else you will end up in Maj'Dul.

You will end up on the Gorowyn docks which is just SE of Gorowyn. Gorowyn is very confusing, so if you aren't adventurous, you may want to avoid it. Head north of the docks along the beach and find a griff station with climbable netting. Take the griff and fly to the next station. You should be able to get fairly far NE. Quests in your level range will probably be on the far NE or middle of the 3 large islands that make up that zone.

Except if you're from Qeynos you can't use Sinking Sands to Gorowyn.

Which means the only way there is to go to Butcherblock, follow the beach line up to the Griffin area, and take the Griffin there.

I'm on a PvP server and thought it was just one of those PvP restrictions.

Didn't think it applied to PvE. My bad :47:

But the upshot is that if you're from Qeynos, you're a faggot and should slit your wrists anyway.
