Default Tank comparison

I'm rolling a new tank and i want a little bit of input. Since this is about 4 classes i figured i'd just place it in general where i can get a broad point of view rather then 4 biased ones.
I had an 80 guardian on another server i'm not playing any more.

For the guardian i feel it was more of a safe controlled approach to ever fight, hardly ever lost agro, didn't go down that easy and my power was always pretty low. Mind you i haven't played since tso came out so i only had rok gear and not that much of it either.

First i want to know peoples experiences on guardians and how they compare to the likes of zerkers sks and pallies. Right now i'm leaning towards sk as i'm not going to be raiding and they're quite fun apparently but (and don't take this wrong guys) when i hear Shadowknight i see a tank who's just awesome at pulling rooms but isn't as good when it comes to tough hitting single target mobs.

As for zerker and pally i'm thinking that either of them might be the in between ground.

So i'm looking for information on
Speed of attack
agro management
power usage
ability to stay alive
How they compare to each other in fighting styles

Roll an SK. Best DPS, Aggro, and Endlines.

Or a Pally if you need amends to hold aggro.

Rolling a guardian in TSO is silly.

Roll a sk if you dont like it betray to pally.

people _still_ take brawlers for tanks? *boggle*

tank selection depends on yer preferences really.

if you dont plan to raid, grab the SK, cant get any more OP than that. if you plan to raid... well ask yer future force whats the dealio, whether they need an AE oriented OT... then go for zerk or SK, or a singletarget tank, then go for guardian.

in the end the player makes a good tank, not the class (that even includes SKs) so pick whichever is the most fun to you of the above mentioned choices.
currently theres no reason to pick a paladin over any other tank class... hence i only listed the above 3 classes that are _THE_ tank classes currently desired to choose from.

Go with an Esskay. Its basically easy mode. Make sure when you hit 80, you do as many quests and kill as many names as possible to get the most AA's. Look up the SK forum for builds, gear, etc. Get all your spells atleast Expert/AD3. Profit.

Was in group with lowbie monk as tank couldnt even get to first named in DF since we wiped 6 times and everyone bailed. I offered to bring in my monk but the group insisted it is impossible for monk to tank DF lol! This is the common perception.

Truth is brawler is not an easy mode tank but well geared and played can tank anything and hold aggro just fine.

FYI Ran DF an hour later on my monk as tank with single healer and in offense stance with jewel of animosity on, no problem.

Roll A Paladin. I would rather have one of them tank then a Shadowknight tbh

Just keep in mind with SK, masters cost 2x as much as just about any other class due to the FOTM folks...
