Default Levelling to 80

What is the average time in hours to level a toon to 80? I have acesss to a friends 80 but dont wana spend alot of time getin to top tier content

I have just returned to game after 6months away and got rid of my high toons back when i left.

Any timings would be a help, i do have a good memory of most of the zones.

Depends how hardcore you play. I'm a slow leveler and I took a toon from 1-80 and had them Myth'd within 6 weeks and that was me coming back from a 18 month vacation from the game, so I was really rusty and out of tune/sync with everything and without being PL'D. Getting the AA's took a bit longer, I think I only had 130 AA or so when I hit 80, but I also ignored alot of questing on the way up.

I just finished leveling my 12th toon to lvl 80, did it in a little under 51 hours /played time. (yes i took breaks) Was very painful. Would not recommend.
But normally w/o being powerleveled, takes a few weeks?

The above 2 Comments are pretty much correct, a hardcore player could probably (if the dedication was put into it) level to 80 in a week or just over.

However the more casual gamer, as Jonaroth mentioned, would probably take a few weeks, depending whether or not you want to just hit 80, or enjoy the scenery while you level.

Group until you hit 70 to get some good xp. Soloing will help you get AA, but if you want to level as fast as possible, grouping does give some good xp if you get in a good group. You can use the slidebar to slow it down if you want to get more AA during the process. Then, solo from 70-80 to get get AA and coin; there are tons of quests in RoK that are rewarding.

Solo'd my last toon to 80/140 in about 8 days playing time, including the one day I accidently left him on while I went to work for 12 hours. Leveling now is rediculously easy if you play catch up on the aa's after you hit 80. Unlike last year there are a rediculous amount of repeatable quests to burn exp, and if your 80 friend is kind enough to plat feed you to keep your gear up, MC can keep you going untill the mid 70's, so raiding/grouping isn't all that important until then. Start running shards as soon as you can (what is it about 75?) so when you hit 80 you have enough to buy yourself some semidecent gear. Make sure you download eq2maps, because if you're somewhat inexperienced in the game it will speed up quest runs alot.

Shards can be anywhere. I started another boxed group and hit a shard chest on a trash mob in Wailing Caves. Between that and every named being up, it's a little different in the old zones.

Haven't played much since then, my accounts expired and I haven't bothered renewing them yet.

That was a limited time deal, shards no longer have a chance to drop off of any mob.

RAF + pots = +255% to experience.
Add in the right zones and a SK or Zerker or Warlock PLing the toon....and I could see it being easy in a week.
